Soldier Field in Chicago, IL

The ALS Walk for Life is back in-person at Soldier Field!

Join our Les Turner ALS family at the 20th Anniversary ALS Walk for Life for Chicagoland’s largest gathering of people living with ALS and their friends and family! Teams fundraise in honor or memory of a loved one living with ALS and gather in a day full of celebration, hope and courage. With food and music, the day is meant for all those who love or have loved someone living with ALS to come together as one, big family.

When you attend the ALS Walk for Life, you’ll take a two-mile stroll along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront and finish your walk going through iconic Soldier Field before crossing the finish line. Come, join our family, and together we will create a world free of ALS.

For everyone's safety, we are recommending everyone wear masks and stay 3-feet apart from others.

Reminder for those of you attending in-person, Soldier Field has the following rules:

  • No propane grills - charcoal is allowed
  • No alcohol
  • No dogs

  • Team Recognition: This year we will be hosting an awards ceremony to celebrate teams who have participated in our ALS Walk for Life for the past 10, 15, and 20 years!
  • Courage Award: Our first ever ALS Walk for Life Courage Award recipient will be Steve McMichael, member of the 1985 Bears, now living with ALS. Celebrate Steve’s courage, on and off the field, with us!

Registration Fees = $0
There is no charge to participate in the ALS Walk for Life but fundraising is encouraged!

The Foundation exists to care for those affected by the disease, guide them to answers, support them and their loved ones and provide hope through scientific research. The funds raised help the Les Turner ALS Foundation provide personalized care visits by our ALS support services coordinators, support meetings, educational materials and programs, access to medical equipment and communication devices and need-based grants. We fund scientific and clinical research at our Les Turner ALS Center at Northwestern Medicine to get us closer to a world free of ALS. Your support makes it all possible!
