Team Ron Lobo
Our team is participating in the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll because we believe in the mission of the Les Turner ALS Foundation!
This year we're running for Ron Lobo, a remarkable man who has touched so many people's lives. Ron has been a loving husband to his wife for almost 40 years, the father to 3 boys, and a grandparent to 3 (soon to be 4) grandchildren. On Februray 4th, 2019 Ron was diagnosed with ALS. We've watched firsthand as a family as this disease has taken away everything from him physically. What still remains is his indefatigable spirit that has never wavered. Dad spent most of his life building a community of friends and family that stretched across all boundaries and walks of life. Today we're asking you to be a part of our community and team in support of a man thats meant so much to us.
We believe in providing the best possible care to people living with ALS and their families in the Chicagoland area and we believe that the funds we raise together will lead to a cure for ALS. This cause is important to us and we would greatly appreciate your support of our efforts.
ALS is scary. Really scary. Its rapid progression can mean tomorrow is often worse than today. As a result, people living with ALS are overwhelmed and unsure of what questions to ask and what to do next. But that’s where the Les Turner ALS Foundation comes in. The Foundation is here to care for those affected by the disease, answer their questions and support them and their loved ones every step of their journey.
I’m proud to be a member of the Les Turner ALS Foundation family. Join me as we work to support people living with ALS and those who love them every step of the way! Please join our team on event day or consider making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal. Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS.
