Racing Towards a Cure
Join me as I participate in the Les Turner ALS Foundation’s Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll!
I believe in the mission of the Les Turner ALS Foundation. I believe in providing the best comprehensive care to people living with ALS and their families in Chicagoland and I believe that the money we raise together will lead to treatments and a cure for ALS. This cause is important to me and people living with ALS need your help!
ALS is scary. Really scary. Its rapid progression can mean tomorrow is often worse than today. As a result, people living with ALS are overwhelmed and unsure of what questions to ask and what to do next. But that’s where the Les Turner ALS Foundation comes in. The Foundation is here to care for those affected by the disease, answer their questions and support them and their loved ones every step of their journey.
I am running in support of the too-many people in my family and far-too-many people in the Chicagoland region who are pALS. Thinking of their courage, humor, dignity, and perseverance towards their treatment and the advancement of treatment for all affected by ALS gets me through even the very toughest of my training runs.
I am running for my Uncle Matt Creen, late Uncle John Rooney, late grandmother Mary Flynn Rooney, and her sister Agnes Flynn, as well as all those who love and care for the pALS of the Chicago region and around the world. Les Turner ALS Foundation has played a pivotal role in my family's ability to stand up to and work to beat ALS.
I greatly appreciate the support of my run, and more importantly, the donation to this superb organization. Let's Roon ALS!
I’m proud to be a member of the Les Turner ALS Foundation family. Join me as we work to support people living with ALS and those who love them every step of the way! Please consider making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS.
