Running, Walking, Rolling and Raising Money on Team Todd Strong
Please join me in supporting the Les Turner ALS Foundation. I'm joining to support my friend, so I hope you will support me with a donation or join our run/walk/roll team!
A couple years ago, our friend Todd finally got the answer about some mysterious pains and movement problems he was having. Doctors told him that he has ALS. Imagine the thoughts and emotions that run through your body upon hearing that. And yet Todd, a man of incredible faith, is full of hope. And he lifts the people around him, including his partner Christopher who I have known for 30 years. And just recently Todd began receiving in-home care from a young man to help with daily tasks, etc. Todd recognizing that his caregiver needs supplemental income starts sending him job referrals! Even during his own personal health issues, he is thinking of others. Generous is how a lot of friends describe Todd.
Todd and Chris, after exploring many resources on ALS, landed with the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Les Turner's team was exceptional in helping them locate specialists and therapies. It has been and will be a challenging road for Todd. When Todd told me about his plan to form a team for this year's Strike Out ALS 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk, I agreed to join. Even my husband David, a stroke survivor, is joining the team to do the 1 Mile Walk!
Please consider a donation in support of my fundraising efforts as part of Team "Todd Strong." The Les Turner ALS Foundation provides the best comprehensive care to people living with ALS and their families in the Chicago area and I believe that the money we raise together will lead to treatments and a cure for ALS. Todd has already benefitted and he wants to ensure that others will benefit as well.
Your donation helps people living with ALS. Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS and give those people, including Todd, additional hope. You are also welcome to join our team in the run, walk and roll event! Thanks for your support.
