Racing Towards a Cure
“ALS is scary. Really scary. The progression of ALS can mean tomorrow is often worse than today” - Les Turner ALS Foundation.
Strike Out ALS 5K
Les Turner ALS Foundation
I will be running with Team Ron Lobo for my friend Eric’s father who contracted ALS just a few months ago. For his family, his friends and other people suffering and affected by the disease.
ALS is a rapidly progressive neuromuscular disease. The degeneration of motor neurons affects muscle movement, speech, swallowing and breathing. The deterioration of the nerves causes pain and paralysis with no cure. Therapies, support, medicines can only aim to reduce discomfort whilst research into the disease continues.
In a country where health care DOES NOT COME FOR FREE - the individual care, in-home provisions, work, equipment, knowledge, advice and support and research of the Les Turner ALS Foundation is imperative and invaluable - offering help and comfort however they can to those who need it during such scary times.
Please donate if you can and help me reach my fundraising goals! Any amount counts
Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS.
All donations will go to the Les Turner ALS Foundation
