onWARD to a Cure
Our lives changed forever in March 2018, when someone very close to all of us was diagnosed with ALS, Marian Ward. Marian is a selfless, kind, and faith-oriented woman. Along side her husband Jim of 38 years, nothing has been more important to Marian than raising her four children; James, Terry, Mark, and Grace. This trend has continued as she welcomed a daughter-in-law Kim (wife of James) and a lovely granddaughter Paige into the family. After growing up with her 5 brothers and 4 sisters on the Irish Catholic south side of Chicago, Marian spent nearly 40 years as a nurse, primarily in home health care. She has been an active and dedicated parishoner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish in Orland Park since its founding and has taught Religious Education (CCD) to the children and teenagers of the parish for over 25 years.
After a lifetime of helping others, we are asking your support in helping return the favor to Marian by joining our Team, onWard to a Cure on event day for the ALS Walk for Life, or by making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal.
Our team is participating in the ALS Walk for Life because we believe in the mission of the Les Turner ALS Foundation, we believe in providing the best possible care to people living with ALS and their families in the Chicagoland area and we believe that the funds we raise together will lead to a cure for ALS. This cause is important to us and we would greatly appreciate your support of our efforts.
Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS.
