Coyote - Michael Cerny
Our team is participating in the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll in memory of my father, Michael Cerny. Throughout his life, my father was a very happy, strong and active man. His favorite things to do were cycling and restoring cars. He was great with his hands - remodeled our home, built a porch and swing and was often outside, mowing the lawn or helping a friend bale hay. He was always lending a helping hand to our family, friends and neighbors.
In January 2003, my father was diagnosed with ALS. It slowly crept into our lives, first affecting his speech and then slowly taking control over his arms and legs. It was incredibly difficult to see the disease take over my father's body, but it could not take down his happy and easy going spirit. Even though he lost his battle to ALS in June 2004, his memory lives on through our family.
Join me as we work to support people living with ALS and those who love them every step of the way! Please join our team on event day or consider making a donation to help us reach our fundraising goal. Together, we can make an impact in the fight against ALS. I know that my father will be watching over us as we participate in this amazing event and will be so proud! Thank you for your support!
A special THANK YOU to the Coyote family - your support means so much to me!!
