Dear Family and Friends,
As I continue my journey to live a productive life with ALS, I will be participating in the Les Turner ALS Foundation's Walk for Life on Sunday, September 15 at Soldier Field in Chicago. For the SIXTH year, I will be captaining my team Peter's Pirates!
With more than 7,000 participants, the ALS Walk for Life is Chicago's largest gathering of ALS supporters and a true celebration of hope. Our team always has a great walk followed by a cold beverage and lunch!
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive disease that causes muscle weakness, difficulty speaking, swallowing and eventually, complete paralysis. There is no known cure for ALS. The Les Turner ALS Foundation provides support to 90% of people living with ALS in the Chicagoland area.
I am now asking for your support. Please consider helping in one of three ways:
1) Sponsor me as I walk
2) Walk with us as a member of Peter's Pirates at Soldier Field on September 15
3) Help spread the word by asking your friends and family to donate to this important cause
Thank you for helping me make a difference! Join our family as we Walk to End ALS.
