Welcome Lane's Walkin' Ducks
I am calling all Walking Ducks to raise funds and awareness for the Les Turner ALS Foundation. This year, Jeff and I will celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary on September 4th, 10 days prior to the walk. We cannot think of a better Anniversary gift than your donation in any increment of 25 (i.e. $2.50, $25, $50, $75, $250, etc...). We are so grateful for the support we have received and the extra years we have been given. I never imagined we would have this opportunity when he was diagnosed in 2002. We would also love to see as many faces as possible at this years walk - consider it our Anniversary Party!! See you on September 14th!!
I'm continuing to participate in the ALS Walk for Life because I believe in the work of the Les Turner ALS Foundation, I believe in providing the best possible care to Chicagoland area ALS patients and their families and I believe that the money we raise together will lead to finding the cure for ALS.
The ALS Walk for Life is one of the world's largest gatherings of ALS patients, families and friends. Since its inception in 2002, the Walk has raised over $12 million in support of Chicago's independent leader in ALS, the Les Turner ALS Foundation.
The money raised through the Walk helps people currently living with ALS (PALS) and their families through the Foundation’s Home and Community Service and grant programs. It also supports the Les Turner ALS Research and Patient Center at Northwestern Medicine where PALS are seen by a multi-disciplinary clinical staff at the Lois Insolia ALS Clinic, ensuring no part of their disease goes unseen and untreated. The Center also supports three full functioning research laboratories, each one providing hope of a future without ALS.
Please join me as I Walk to end ALS. By joining our virtual team, you will be able to raise funds to support the foundation and help maintain a quality of life for families living in the War Zone of ALS.
