Dear Friends and Family, 

Last September was our first year attending the ALS Walk for Life. A day to raise awareness and funds for the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Back then, Ken and I were still processing our life changing diagnosis. I cannot thank you all enough for your loving support, generous contributions, fundraising magic and walking with our team, Dave’s Fight Club. I did not know what to expect. When Ken and I showed up at Soldier Field, I became very emotional. I saw you all grouped together waiting for me and the event to start. Everything I was trying to hide, my fears and worries, came pouring out. Your love and support made me fall apart. Everyone lifted an unbearable weight off my shoulders. It was an emotional healing day I will never forget. Together we raised over $21,000 for the ALS Les Turner Foundation. Helping this important foundation, helps Ken and I along with anyone in Chicagoland diagnosed with ALS and their families.

Ken and I are once again forming team Dave’s Fight Club. We will be walking and rolling in the ALS Walk for Life on Saturday, September 23 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The ALS Walk for Life is Chicago’s largest gathering of ALS supporters and a true celebration of hope! Dave’s Fight Club will be honoring the lives and memories of the brave patients and caregivers who are currently fighting ALS as well as those who have passed away. We would love for you to join us!

As walkers, we will enjoy a leisurely two-mile stroll along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront and will have the opportunity to walk through iconic Soldier Field before crossing the finish line. Festivities begin around 9:00am and the walk kicks off at 10:30am. There is entertainment and fun for everyone, feel free to bring your friends and family!
